1. Marlborough Downtown Pop-Up Shops Return For Fourth Year (patch.com) — Marlborough residents can look forward to the return of downtown pop-up shops at 10 Weed Street, offering a rotating lineup of local makers, artists and small businesses starting May 30 and 31. Backed by the Marlborough Economic Development Corporation and state grant funding, the seasonal marketplace runs Fridays through Sundays, giving online and home-based vendors a chance to test storefront-style retail and connect directly with shoppers.    

2. Sen. Jamie Eldridge To Seek Re-Election For Middlesex, Worcester District (patch.com) — Marlborough voters are again part of the Middlesex and Worcester district race as State Sen. Jamie Eldridge confirms he’s on the ballot seeking re-election this fall. With an opponent already declared and signatures secured, Eldridge plans stepped-up campaigning and local fundraisers across the 12-community district that includes Marlborough, Hudson, Southborough and several neighboring towns.    

3. 3 Suspects Caught After Attempted Vehicle Theft, Crash In Marlborough (patch.com) — Marlborough residents saw a large police response Sunday after an attempted vehicle theft at Ghiloni Park led to a chase, rollover crash on Parmenter Road, and a search through nearby woods. One adult and two juveniles were taken into custody, and local officers were assisted by multiple neighboring departments, K-9 teams, and the State Police Air Wing.    

4. Marlborough Student Sworn In As State Leader For A Day (patch.com) — A Marlborough senior from Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School has been honored as Massachusetts Probation Service Co-Commissioner for the Day, recognizing her academic excellence, artistic talent, and volunteer work with local seniors. Her artwork previously featured at Marlborough District Court, and local court officials joined state leaders to celebrate her achievements and future plans in animation or game design.    

5. Stolen Dump Truck Chase in Maine Ends With Crash at School Playground (ultimatemaine.com) — A 23-year-old man from Marlborough is facing multiple charges after police in Lewiston, Maine say a stolen dump truck rammed a cruiser and crashed near a school playground. Officers report one colleague was injured by a fence while pursuing the suspects on foot. Two passengers from other Massachusetts cities were also arrested in connection with the stolen vehicle.
