MARLBOROUGH, MA — Two longtime members of the Marlborough Fire Department have retired after more than two decades of service to the city.
Lt. Jeffrey Kasaras retired on July 10 after more than 25 years with the department, including more than 20 years as a lieutenant, according to a Thursday announcement from the Marlborough Fire Department. The department said Kasaras was its longest-serving company officer.
Firefighter Shawn Butland retired on July 20 after more than 25 years of service to Marlborough.
"We congratulate both members and wish them and their families a long and happy retirement," the department said.
