MARLBOROUGH, MA — A downtown Marlborough restaurant that brought a longtime Boston pizza name to Main Street is marking its first year this weekend.

Picco Marlborough, located at 179 Main St., will host a one-year anniversary celebration Saturday, with all-day pizza specials, a kids' corner, complimentary late-night bar snacks, special desserts and DJ Dave playing from 9 p.m. to midnight, according to the restaurant.

The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight for the celebration, with the kitchen closing at 10 p.m. Reservations are encouraged for lunch and dinner, though walk-ins are welcome. Reservations are available here.

Picco opened its Marlborough location last summer after building a following at its original Tremont Street restaurant in Boston's South End. The restaurant, whose name stands for Pizza and Ice Cream Company, is known for sourdough pizza and house-made ice cream.

The Marlborough restaurant is inside a restored historic bank building in downtown Marlborough and serves pizza, ice cream, pasta, salads, beer, wine and cocktails.

The anniversary celebration will also include Picco's new summer cocktail and food menus, along with daytime activities for children including pizza, art, ice cream and other giveaways, according to the restaurant.
