MARLBOROUGH, MA — A longtime downtown jewelry store will mark four decades in business with a public celebration in October.
Joy-Den Jewelers will hold its 40th anniversary celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at 209 Main St. The event will include a discount, raffle, refreshments and gifts with purchase.
"This October we're celebrating four decades in Downtown Marlborough with the customers and community who made it possible," the store wrote in a Thursday announcement. "Thank you for 40 years, Marlborough. We'd love to celebrate with you."
Customers can receive 40 percent off one in-stock jewelry item during the celebration. The offer excludes special orders, custom designs, layaway purchases, giftware and repairs.
The store will also raffle a $400 Joy-Den gift certificate.
Joy-Den opened in November of 1986. The current owner, Chad, worked at Joy-Den for nine years before buying the business in 2005.
He later purchased an adjoining property and completed a 2017 renovation that doubled the store's size.
The independently operated store sells fine jewelry and gifts and provides custom design, appraisal and repair services. Except for watch repairs, the store performs jewelry repairs in-house.
