Relay For Life of Marlboro Hudson is set for:

  • Friday, May 20 – Saturday, May 21
  • 5 - 6 p.m. Survivor and Caregiver Reception
  • 6 p.m. – 6 a.m. event
  • Ghiloni Park, 239 Concord Road, Marlboro

Marcia Place, an Event Leadership Team volunteer, cancer survivor, Pauline Smith, an Event Leadership Team volunteer and co-lead for Survivor Reception and Vikki Crowley, Event Leadership Team volunteer, Survivor Lead and a four-time cancer survivor, were instrumental in the dinner's updates.

“I’ve felt the survivor area needed to be brought up to another level, and with the help of the committee this year’s will be breathtaking," said Crowley. "We fight one hell of a battle and I think we all deserve to be recognized and celebrated.”

Volunteers on the Event Leadership Team say they decided to freshen up the annual because all cancer survivors and caregivers need kindness for all they've gone through.

"This disease doesn’t discriminate – it goes after young and old, male or female – race doesn’t matter – neither does religion. Rich or Poor it just doesn’t care," said Crowley. "You fight to stay alive – to live with the pain – to pray someday it will be gone forever. You say over and over – I AM STRONG – I CAN DO THIS."
