CaRMaH Cat of the Week! Apple Blossom!!
CaRMaH is your Hudson/Marlboro area resource for adopting a great cat into your home and life!

I’m Apple Blossom, the lead performer of the Discordants. We are touring the greater Hudson area, looking for a permanent gig. I’m clearly the leader - when I get hold of a toy, it’s mine, and I’m gonna growl at anyone who tries and takes the spotlight from me. I’m something to watch - I can leap incredibly high, and catch the spot light for all to see. Like the others from my band, I’m very outgoing and social. I’m a March baby, and I’m in overall good health, though I am discordant - see below.

I’ve had discordant test results for feline leukemia, which means I tested positive on one type of test (ELISA test) and negative on another test (IFA test). I was exposed to the feline leukemia virus until May and may be in the process of clearing the virus from my body. I will be retested mid August to determine if the result is still positive. While results are discordant, I should be treated as if I have leukemia and should not be exposed to other cats (with the exception of the other discordants). The testing would be repeated every 4-8 weeks until the results match.

All our cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, tested for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, treated for parasites and checked by a vet before adoption. To apply please go to http://www.carmah.org/info/adoption. Questions can be sent to: adoptacat@carmah.org
OUR KITTEN POLICY: Kittens under the age of 6 months need other cats for social development and fewer behavioral problems - and they keep each other company when people aren’t around. So, we adopt out kittens in pairs, or with their charming momcats, or into home already having a young or active cat.
