Dean Cavaretta, a Republican  candidate for Massachusetts State Senate in the Middlesex and Worcester District, has announced he is hosting a Grand Opening event for his Marlborough campaign office later this month.

The event, scheduled for July 19 at 6:30 PM, will feature a special visit from Mary Z. Connaughton, a Republican who ran for State Auditor in 2010.  Additionally, other prominent officials and activists will be in attendance.

"I am excited to be able to open a campaign office in the City of Marlborough," said Cavaretta. "Having this field office makes me able to interact with residents more effectively, letting me hear their thoughts and concerns. It also demonstrates the commitment I have to pressing local issues, not far Left causes that have no chance of passing the Legislature."

"Dean is a great candidate, and I am pleased to be able to show my support for him on July 19," said Connaughton. "He knows how important it is for elected officials to be independent, and focus on the local level while meeting people face-to-face."

Cavaretta's campaign is focused on issues that are important to the Middlesex and Worcester District, including job creation and improving suburban education.

“I am running for the State Senate to offer new policies that will put education and the economy first," said Cavaretta. "I will use my skills as a teacher to support accountable and local education reform. And, I will show a commitment to all small businesses, rather than a favored few. State Senators should not be picking winners and losers, but the current liberal incumbent unfortunately does just that."

The Cavaretta Campaign’s Marlborough office is located at Val's Plaza on Route 20 East (547 Boston Post Road). Residents wishing further information about Cavaretta and his campaign can also visit Dean's existing Websites, DeanCavaretta.com and MomsAndDadsForDean.com.
