Does your New Year's resolution include better health?

Let yoga help you improve your overall health, decrease stress, and get rid of back pain in 2016

As you begin to set your resolutions for better health in 2016 be sure to include yoga. It is one of the best tools available to you to improve your health. A recent study found that a regular practice of yoga had similar effects to that achieved with aerobic exercise. Improvements were found in blood pressure, cholesterol level, heart rate, and weight loss.

In another recent study, yoga has proven effective in relieving low back pain by stretching and strengthening key muscles. And the support for yoga in improving your health doesn’t stop there. A study has reported that a regular yoga practice reduces inflammation in the body. This is important because chronic inflammation is implicated in such diseases as diabetes and arthritis. Other benefits of yoga include decreased stress and improved immune system functioning.

If your New Year’s resolutions involve better health and less stress then committing to a weekly yoga class can help you get there. New class sessions begin Saturday, January 2. With classes for absolute beginners through advanced practitioners there is a class that is perfect for everyone. To find out more and see the class schedule click here.
