Discovery Series presents Storyteller Katie Green on March 24
On March 24 Katie
Green of Princeton, MA will present The Red Hat, Adventure Stories for Young Listeners and Their Adult Friends. Katie Green is a national award winning
storyteller, recognized by the National Storytelling Association for her outstanding work with educators. She has told stories throughout the U. S., on NPR radio, and on Good Morning America. Her CD’s and book Spinning Tales,
Weaving Hope have received the coveted Parent’s Choice award and Storytelling World Award, respectively.
The Red Hat is an original story about a fish that goes on a journey and returns with new knowledge. Other stories included in this intergenerational program include
Slops, a Welsh folktale and The Enormous Turnip or Sody Saleratus. This program also includes Little House, a story told in American Sign Language.
The Saturday Morning Discovery
Series is back this winter with free entertainment for family audiences at the Marlborough Senior Center, 250 Main Street. This delightful series will present a variety of performers for six weeks beginning on March 3 and continuing through April 7. Shows begin at 11 am.
