-The River’s Edge Arts Alliance is very excited to present Synergia 2014, an engaging moveable exhibit of local history, poetry, art and theater which will move from town to town in order to be enjoyed by multiple communities. Marlborough, Hudson, Bolton, Framingham, Northborough and Sudbury, as well as surrounding community residents, are welcome to attend a wine and cheese reception at the Main Street Café in Marlborough on Friday, Sept.12 from 7-9 p.m.
In our towns we have historical societies, councils and museums which house various educational pieces of our communities past. We also have talented artists and writers who crave the opportunity to create pieces of work worthy of public viewing. We have townspeople interested in finding out where we come from and how we got to where we are. Through Synergia 2014, we have brought these elements together to increase the awareness of our community history through the lens of the literary and visual arts.

By introducing pen to paintbrush, we are more aptly able to tell our story in a visual and oral fashion, much like our forefathers did so many years ago. The overall encounter with this project has been multi- dimensional in nature, breathing life into our local heritage and engaging our community in a more sense-driven experience.
Are you curious? Come to Main Street Café, 182 Main St., Marlborough to engage with the artists, poets and historians who collaborated to create this interesting and unique exhibit. Synergia 2014 debuted at Hudson Town Hall last June and will stay at Main Street Café through September and can be seen during regular business hours. Join us for a FREE wine and cheese reception on September 12th from 7-9 p.m. for a unique evening of community, history, poetry, art, food and music.
