The Falcon Has Landed At Marlborough City Hall: PHOTO OF THE DAY

An unusual animal stopped by to hang out on the roof of city hall, the mayor spotted it, and an employee snapped some shots.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — One day in mid-February, Mayor Arthur Vigeant happened to look out of one of the skylights at Marlborough City Hall and noticed an unusual bird sitting out there.

It was just about 5:30 p.m. before it got dark, and employee Nicholas Milano grabbed a camera from the office and grabbed a shot of this pelegrine falcon.

"It's not the best photograph, but it was cool to see," said Milano. "I have not seen the falcon back since then, unfortunately. We put it on the city's facebook and folks responded with their own sitings of what was presumably the same bird."
