MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough police made more arrests and conducted more traffic stops in their latest monthly report, even as overall call volume appeared to decline compared to the previous month.

Officers handled 229 total incidents and calls, made 65 arrests and fielded 1,732 911 calls in April, according to newly released data. The department also responded to a wide range of situations across the city, including 110 accidents, 98 disturbances and 51 domestic disputes.

Police reported 16 larceny or shoplifting incidents and 18 cases involving threats or assaults, along with 74 alarm calls, 20 animal complaints and four arrest warrants served.

Traffic enforcement remained a major focus, with officers conducting 1,053 motor vehicle stops over the course of the month. In addition, police responded to 282 medical calls and carried out 110 well-being checks.

The report also noted interactions involving a mental health clinician, though a specific total was not provided.
