Laura and Emma have worked together, to attain their Silver Award in Girl Scouts, by producing the video, and a brochure, to spread community awareness of Kaiser’s role with the police Department, his accomplishments, and to allow Marlborough youth to meet Kaiser in person (unless he is on Police Official Business).
The Silver Award, is the highest award for Cadette Girl Scouts to attain. The purpose of the award is for Cadette Scouts to find a way to make a positive difference in their community. The girls worked over 50 hours to research and produce the video, brochure and present their work to the community. They had help along the way- parents for transportation and support; Kaiser and Officer McKenzie for their willingness to share their life experiences; Marlborough Orthodontics, The Junior Women’s Club of Marlborough, and SD Visual for the printing of the brochure; Boy Scout pack 41 and the Marlborough Library for their presentation venues.
