Learn All About Sending Your Child to Kindergarten in Marlborough

Marlborough Public Schools is hosting a kindergarten registration information night.

The following was submitted by the Marlborough Public Schools:

Marlborough Public Schools hosts a kindergarten registration information night from 6:30-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, in the Whitcomb School Auditorium.

District staff will be on hand to provide an overview of the registration process and screenings, information about busing and before/after-school care, discuss attendance and academic expectations, and explain medical/immunization information. Translators and babysitting will be available.

All children living in Marlborough who will be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2015, are eligible to enter tuition-free, all-day kindergarten in the fall of 2015. There are no exceptions regarding entrance age requirements.

Kindergarten registrations will take place at the Whitcomb Middle School, 25 Union St., in the Library (using the back entrance) from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the following dates:

· Tuesday, February 24, 2015 (Last name beginning A-G)

· Wednesday, February 25, 2015 (Last name beginning H-O)

· Thursday, February 26, 2015 (Last name beginning P-Z)

If parents cannot attend the date designated for their last name, they may attend one of the other days.

MPS will have a registration make-up day from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at the Registration & Parent Outreach Center by appointment only. Appointment times/spaces for this session are limited. Parents who need to make an appointment should call 508-460-3506, extension 3334, and leave a message. A registrar will call you back in a timely manner to set up an appointment.
