Local Nonprofit Seeks Help Buying Gifts For 30 Local Families
Marlborough-based Thrive Support & Advocacy helps youth and adults with developmental disabilities across the region.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — A Marlborough nonprofit that helps local young people and adults with developmental disabilities needs help making this holiday season bright for some local families.
Thrive Support & Advocacy is raising money to buy holiday gifts for 30 local families from Marlborough, Framingham, Hudson, Southborough, Worcester and Westborough.
Thrive's goal is to raise $5,000 by Dec. 18 to fulfill each family's wish list — that's about $150 per family.

The nonprofit, which began as Greater Marlboro Programs in the early 1970s, has been helping people with developmental disabilities across MetroWest for more than 40 years. Thrive offers sports, classes, after-school programs and more to teens, children and adults.
