Man Injured After Stabbing In Marlborough

Police said the injury happened during an argument inside an apartment building in the city.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A man in Marlborough was hospitalized after a stabbing on Wednesday

Marlborough police responded to reports of a stabbing at an apartment building under construction at the corner of Main and Exchange Streets around 1 p.m. A man suffered a stab wound to the abdomen and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police said the injury happened during an argument inside the building, and the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Officers and K-9 units searched the surrounding area. They located the suspect, later identified as 46-year-old Jose Vicente, near the corner of Mechanic and Central Streets, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, police asking for anyone with information to contact the Marlborough Police Department investigations unit at (508) 485-1212.
