MARLBOROUGH, MA — Many local 9/11 memorial ceremonies for the 19th anniversary of the attacks are being postponed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic — but Marlborough will hold its own remembrance.

Later this week, the Walker Building, 255 Main. St., will be lit in red, white and blue as a tribute. A sign with the slogan "Marlborough never forgets" will also adorn the building.

Mayor Arthur Vigeant, Superintendent Michael Bergeron, Public Health Director John Garside and Director of Veterans Services Michael Hennessy announced this year's ceremony during a press conference Wednesday about the city's response to the pandemic.
