Marlborough Coronavirus Updates: Big Jump In Cases

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The number of new coronavirus cases in Marlborough rose sharply over the weekend, with the total number reaching 35 by Tuesday afternoon — a 288 percent increase from Friday when there were just 9 cases citywide.

The number of reported COVID-19 cases has been rising sharply across the state due to increased testing capacity. Of the 35 cases in Marlborough, one person has recovered from the disease.

The Massachusetts case count grew to 6,620 on Tuesday, including 89 deaths. Thirty-three people died over the last 24 hours, the biggest one-day jump the state has seen since the beginning of the outbreak.
