Baker's order on face coverings went into effect on May 6. Anyone over the age of 2 must wear a face covering while out in public, especially in closed spaces like stores and restaurants. Face coverings are meant to slow the transmission of coronavirus from asymptomatic carriers.
As of Monday evening, Marlborough had counted 667 total coronavirus cases over the course of the pandemic. Of those, 21 residents had died, and 377 had recovered from the virus. That means there were 269 active coronavirus cases on Monday.
