Marlborough Mayor: State of Emergency Declaration

Echoing the governor's state of emergency declaration, the mayor released this statement to all residents.

Mayor Arthur G. Vigeant released the following to Marlborough residents:

Pursuant to the State of Emergency declared By His Excellency Charles D. Baker, Governor, Mayor Arthur G. Vigeant has further declared that Marlborough City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, January 27th.

Further, all city and school afternoon and evening activities scheduled for January 27th are CANCELLED. Marlborough City Hall will closely promptly for business at 5:00 p.m. today, January 26. In addition, the meetings of the Marlborough City Council and the Planning Board scheduled for are CANCELLED.

All sworn and civilian public safety personnel and vehicles, public works personnel and public works vehicles, including contract personnel supporting public works operations shall remain in full operation and as directed by the Chief of Police, Fire Chief and DPW Commissioner. The Marlborough Police Headquarters (355 Bolton Street) and the Central Fire Station (215 Maple Street) Dispatch Offices may be reached at 508-460-1212 or 508-460-2323 for informational and non-emergency calls only.
