Marlborough Rotary, Chamber Hosting Junk Event This Weekend
For $40, local residents can get rid of junk at this annual event.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — It's not just a bunch of junk: the Marlborough Rotary and the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce will hold an annual junk collection fundraiser this fall, with the first collection happening this weekend.
The two organizations have been holding junk collection events since 2011 to benefit the chamber and the Marlborough Rotary Foundation. For $40, local residents (anyone is welcome) can drop off a car or truck load of unwanted household items — from car batteries to computers to large appliances like refrigerators.
There are separate fees for certain items, including televisions, computer monitors, speakers and car seats. There are also some items you can't bring, like mattresses, tires and pieces of wood. You can find a full list on the chamber's Facebook page.
