Marlborough Schools Start Date

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Parents, you've almost survived the summer.

Students are due back in Marlborough schools on Tuesday, Aug. 30, for 1-12, and Wednesday, Aug. 31, for kindergarten. The return is immediately followed by another break, with no school Friday, Sept. 2, or Monday, Sept. 5 (Labor Day).

Marlborough schools were named a "District of Distinction" by District Administration Magazine earlier this year.

Gone are the days of Labor Day marking the start of the school season. Tell the kids not to complain - many schools across the country start before the end of August, and some even in July, according to CNN. And parents, no complaining from you either - some schools don't welcome back students until well into September.
