Marlborough Woman Competes for Miss Massachusetts Crown

A Marlborough woman joins 22 others to compete for Miss Massachusetts.

A Marlborough woman is competing for the Miss Massachusetts crown.

Miss Southcoast Julia Reich joins 22 other contestants in the 76th annual Miss Massachusetts Scholarship Pageant on Friday, June 26, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 28, at 3:00 p.m. at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts in Worcester. This is the seventh year that the pageant has taken place in Worcester, having previously been held in Fall River and New Bedford.

Reich is a junior at UMass Lowell, is talented in Irish step dancing and plans to support animal assisted therapy.

The two-day pageant features Miss Massachusetts 2014 Lauren Kuhn of Boston. The contestants compete for scholarship money and the opportunity to represent Massachusetts at the 95th Annual Miss America Pageant in September 2015.
