Marlborough's 'Mr. Marlby' Will Wake From Hibernation Soon
The stuffed bear will soon begin traveling around Marlborough again after entering hibernation over the winter.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — This is one bear you won't have to steer clear of this spring.
Mr. Marlby, Marlborough unofficial stuffed bear mascot, will soon begin traveling around the city this spring as he wakes up from his winter hibernation.
Marlby was first spotted in Marlborough last December. Soon after, the giant stuffed animal began traveling to different locations across the city as part of a social media trend stemming from the Residents of Marlborough Facebook group.

Local residents helped Marlby travel far and wide, visiting Mayor Arthur Vigeant at City Hall, hanging with kids at a coronavirus vaccine clinic, riding in an ambulance and stopping to make a donation at the Community Cupboard. He even inspired a special beer by Lost Shoe Brewing.
The bear is now resting in downtown Marlborough, although keen observers may have already spotted his resting place. But he'll soon begin traveling outdoors as the weather warms, according to Residents of Marlborough administrator Anne Marie Michalides. It'll be up to local residents to track him down and help him with his 2022 journey.
