Marlborough's Next Cannabis Store Has A New Name
The Vedi Naturals store has been in the works since late 2019, but may be set to open this winter.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A new Marlborough adult-use cannabis store in the works since 2019 may be very close to opening.
In late 2019, Jigar Patel began the process to open a cannabis store that, at the time, was called Vedi Naturals. The Marlborough City Council granted the business permission to open in August 2020, and the state Cannabis Control Commission gave the business a final license in the fall.
The business has since changed its name to Kosa Dispensary, according to documents submitted to the City Council last week. The dispensary will take over a former Mr. C's Music space in the Twinboro Crossing plaza at 505 Boston Post Road.

Patel was not immediately available for comment about the name change. In November, he said the store was under construction with a target opening date of February 2022.
The Boston Post Road in Marlborough has become somewhat of a hub for cannabis stores. When Kosa does open, it will be the third adult-use dispensary in the city after Local Roots at 910 Boston Post Road, and Garden Remedies at 416 Boston Post Road — the first cannabis store to open in Marlborough.
