Men Tried To Force Woman Into Robbery: Marlborough Police

Marlborough police arrested a 43-year-old man after the woman was found hiding in the woods.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Two men tried to force a woman at knife-point to commit a robbery in Marlborough on Monday night, according to police. A 43-year-old man was arrested after the incident on charges of kidnapping and assault.

Just before midnight on Monday, police responded to near 39 Phelps St. on a report of a woman in distress hiding in the woods. She told police that two men drove her to the area and wanted her to help carry out a robbery of a Phelps Street home.

When she refused, one of them pulled a knife on her. She ran away and hid in the forest.

Police found Troy Prockett, of Hudson, near where the woman was hiding. He was arrested on charges of kidnapping, assault with a dangerous weapon, larceny, assault and battery, and conspiracy.

Marlborough police are still investigating.
