New Advanced Manufacturing Grants come to Marlborough
More than $100 million in funding was committed to the M2I2 effort, which helps the state invest in the Manufacturing USA program.

MARLBOROUGH, MA- Lt. Governor Karyn Polito announced several new grants from the Massachusetts Manufacturing Innovation Initiative (M2I2), an advanced manufacturing grant program, during an event at Sheaumann Laser in Marlborough on Thursday.
Leaders from the M2I2 program and executives from Sheaumann Laser were at the event as well as executives from the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, which oversees the M2I2 program, and partners from across the region who can highlight the importance of advanced manufacturing investments on the region and the state’s innovation economy.
The Baker-Polito Administration has committed more than $100 million in funding to the M2I2 effort, which provides a vehicle for the state to invest in the Manufacturing USA program. M2I2 advances innovation and job growth by spurring cross-collaboration among companies, universities, national labs, government, incubators, accelerators, and other academic/training institutions.
