News Anchor Dan Harris Speaks at 'Unlocking the Power of Mindfulness' Conference
This conference is presented by Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and the Middlesex Partnerships for Youth.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — You know him as a correspondent for ABC News, an anchor on Nightline and co-anchor for the weekend edition of Good Morning America.
He's also an author and wrote a New York Times bestseller called "10 Percent Happier," and Dan Harris is also going to be one of the speakers at 2017 SECURE XIX Conference, “Unlocking the Power of Mindfulness."
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and the Middlesex Partnerships for Youth, Inc. bring together experts and more than 320 school professionals, law enforcement and community partners for a conference to offer best practices on how mindfulness can be used to reduce stress and anxiety for employees and students. Topics include the positive impacts of meditation and breathing exercises on students and faculty, building resilience and overcoming obstacles and improving creativity and focus through mindfulness, said the release.

More than 320 are expected this event, which takes place on Wednesday, April 5, at Assabet Valley Technical High School in Marlborough from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Other speakers include District Attorney Marian Ryan; Tara Healey, M.A., program director for mindfulness learning, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care; Mitch Abblett., Ph.D., executive director, Institute for Meditation & Psychotherapy, Manville School at Judge Baker Children’s Center; Jessica Morey, M.A., executive director, Inward Bound Mindfulness Education; Christopher Willard, Psy.D., lecturer in psychiatry, Harvard Medical School; and Fiona Jenson, OTR/L, founder and executive Director, Calmer Choice.
