The Yankees sent flowers to the State Police in honor of Trooper Thomas Clardy, killed last week in a crash on the Mass. Pike.

MASSACHUSETTS — A very classy gesture came from an unexpected source Thursday when the New York Yankees sent a bouquet of flowers to the Massachusetts State Police in honor of a State Trooper who was killed last week.
Thomas Clardy was killed last week when an erratic driver slammed into his stationary cruiser on the Mass. Pike. He was 44.
A funeral was held for Clardy in Hudson on Tuesday.
