An Open Letter to Sen. Warren on Choosing the Next U.S. Attorney General

The Next Attorney General Must be Someone Who Will Faithfully Execute the Laws

Dear Senator Warren,

The Senate will soon have the opportunity to vote on Attorney General Eric Holder’s replacement. Please do not vote in favor of any appointee who supports President Obama’s executive amnesty plans.

The United States Attorney General is the chief law enforcement officer in the land. It is his job to make sure laws are enforced for the betterment of all Americans. Unfortunately, Eric Holder has failed at this task when it comes to immigration. Instead of making sure immigration laws are enforced, he has told government officials to ignore the law and has sought to allow illegal aliens to remain in the country, to the detriment of all Americans.

An individual cannot be attorney general if he/she is not willing to enforce the law. President Obama will soon attempt to amnesty illegal aliens using executive actions and America needs an attorney general who will not give in to his every whim.

President Calvin Coolidge, one of our most intelligent, meticulous and methodical of presidents has said:

“To support the Constitution, to observe the laws, is to be true to our own higher nature. That is the path, and the only path, towards liberty. To resist them and violate them is to become enemies to ourselves and instruments of our own destruction. That is the path towards servitude.”

“The police force which is administered on the assumption that the violation of some laws may be ignored has started toward demoralization. The community which approves such administration is making dangerous concessions. ... The conclusion is inescapable that laxity of administration reacts upon public opinion, causing cynicism and loss of confidence in both law and its enforcement and therefore in its observance.”

Please do not vote in favor of President Obama’s nominee if he/she will not promise to enforce immigration laws.

Sincerely,

J. Bruce Gabriel
