Paradise City Arts Festival Postponed Over Coronavirus
The event was supposed to take place at Marlborough's Best Western Royal Plaza Trade Center the weekend of March 20.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — A major arts festival planned to take place in Marlborough next weekend has been postponed. The Paradise City Arts Festival will move to June due to the spreading new coronavirus, COVID-19.
Close to 200 artists from around the country were set to show their work the weekend of March 20 at the Best Western Royal Plaza Trade Center. The festival was founded in Northampton in the mid 1990s.
The festival organizers say that most of the artists scheduled to present in March will return for the new dates from June 12 to 14.

Marlborough officials confirmed the city's first presumptive COVID-19 case on Wednesday evening. The person is said to be recovering, and did not have contact with city schools. There are 95 suspected COVID-19 cases in Massachusetts as of Wednesday, and six of those had been confirmed positive by the Centers for Disease Control.
