Pixar and Khan Academy collaborated to create, develop, and promote a series of learning tutorials that demonstrate how math, science, engineering, and the arts are a vital part of the magic and wonder of the Pixar filmmaking process. Open to teens, grades 6-12.
We will provide Chrome books to focus on two tutorials and begin our own magical journey into animation: Environment Mode (Explore how blades of grass in Brave were created using parabolic arcs) and Character Modeling (Explore how clay models are transformed into digital chracter using weighted averages).
Must register to participate.
