River's Edge Players to hold auditions for Cabaret
Cabaret auditions to be held March 22 & 24

The River’s Edge Arts Alliance continues its Season of Compassion with auditions for the Tony Award Winning musical Cabaret on March 22 & 24. This musical takes place in the city of Berlin in 1930, a time when political unrest racks the country, the economy has been destroyed, and millions of unemployed roam the streets. Enter into this chaos an American cabaret dancer, working at the downtown “Kit-Kat club” where anything goes on the stage. Into this young dancer’s life come several characters such as a rich German politician, a young Jewish man struggling with his identity, an Englishman teacher from London, and of course the all-knowing, all-seeing Master of Ceremonies.
Auditions for this River’s Edge Players musical, will take place on Sunday, March 22 from 2-5pm and Tuesday, March 24 from 6:30-9:30. Callbacks will take place Friday, March 27 from 6:30-9:30pm. Auditions will be held at Hudson Town Hall, 78 Main Street Hudson, MA. Ages 18 and up are encouraged to audition and should prepare a song in the style of the show. Readings will be done from the script as well. Cabaret will be directed by Wendy Stuart with Music Direction by David Lussier and Choreography with Travers King Freddette. Show performances will take place June 26-28 at Hudson High School. For more information visit our website at upwitharts.org or email dmoskowitz@upwitharts.org.
