Schools Remind Residents of 'Child Find,' and the Responsibility to Children with Disabilities
The announcement reminds residents and parents that the public school system is responsible for identifying students with disabilities.

Federal and state laws require that public schools, including the Marlborough Public Schools, is responsible for locating, identifying and evaluating any children 3-21 with known or suspected disabilities who live in the district’s boundaries.
The district should determine whether a student needs special education or services.
If you know of a child who has a disability or that you suspect may have a disability, you may refer that child’s parent or guardian directly to the Marlborough Office of Special Education, District Education Center, 17 Washington Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
