September is National Yoga Month

With amazing health benefits now is the perfect time to start or return to a yoga practice

September was designated National Yoga Month in 2008 by the Department of Health and Human Services with an aim to educate about the health benefits of yoga and to inspire a healthy lifestyle. The health benefits of yoga have been shown to be numerous: from increased strength and flexibility to decreased heart rate and blood pressure. Other benefits include decreased stress, improved immune system functioning, and a linkage to lower cholesterol.
