"This grant will fund the reconstruction of a one-mile stretch of narrow roadway on Cedar Hill Street, which serves as an important regional connection at the interchange of I-495. The proposed road improvement will remedy a preexisting deficient road condition that has created a barrier to private investment in Marlborough," state officials said of the award.

The Marlborough Economic Development Corporation applied for the grant. The MEDC was also awarded a second grant in Thursday's funding round: $42,300 through the Housing Choice Grant Program, which funds infrastructure upgrades around residential developments.
