Coronavirus: Island Compiling Emergency Health Worker List
With the first positive test for coronavirus on Martha's Vineyard, Edgartown police are compiling a list of volunteer health care workers.
MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — Martha's Vineyard is reaching out to former and seasonal health care officials for help after the first patient tested positive for the new coronavirus on Friday. Edgartown is asking for retired, semi-retired and seasonable public health professional such as physicians, nurses, pharmacies, emergency medical technicians, dentists, veterinarians and first responders to send a point of contact to selectmen@edgartow-ma.us if they are willing to help out in the case of a widespread coronavirus outbreak on the island.
The Aquinnah Community Emergency Response Team is also hoping to find out if anyone in town needs extra support or help during this time of challenge with coronavirus-related issues. Those in need help of grocery pick-up or other logistics, please let us know Aquinnah CERT know by emailing aquinnahcert@gmail.com.
