Book Discussion: E.M Forster's "A Passage to India"

Today's lecture is the second in a series of course lectures to be held at four local libraries. The Chilmark Library segment addresses the topic of the "colonial encounter" as it relates to the 1924 E.M. Forster work of fiction, "A Passage to India". (The course explores ways in which differently positioned 20th century writers represent colonial encounter in fiction- as it was administered, as it was felt on the receiving end).

Philip Weinstein, Professor of English at Swarthmore College, will lead the discussion.
