Gathering of Island Poets

A gathering of eclectic island poets reading their poetry.

Cleaveland House Poets is a group of poets that has been gathering every two weeks for over 40 years at one of the island's oldest and most historic houses. This group was founded by Dionis Coffin Riggs (see photo of Dionis with William Waterway), and presently has sixteen members is the most successful ongoing group of poets in the island's history. Last year they published their first book, "Wednesday's Poets, An Anthology," which is available at all local libraries and book stores.
