Great Pond Project at Mass Audubon's Felix Neck

Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary’s Old Stone Amphitheater will play host to the 3rd annual GREAT POND PROJECT this coming Friday, August 10, at 2pm. The free performance is the culmination of a week of work by three prominent New Jersey artists visiting Martha’s Vineyard: composer Steven Aprahamian, clarinetist Kenneth Ellison and Broadway/modern dancer Lori Alexander. Their performance, lasting approximately an hour, will include the premiere of an entirely new collaborative work created expressly for the Felix Neck amphitheater during the artists’ time on the island. At the foundation of Friday’s performance will be the annual theme of the Great Pond Project (GPP), a blending of narrative mythology with the stunning ecology of Martha’s Vineyard.

The GPP name refers to Edgartown Great Pond, where the artists reside for the week in a private home. Admission to this event is free to the public, although attendees are welcome to make a donation to Felix Neck at the door. Complimentary light refreshments will be served.
100 Felix Neck Drive, Edgartown, MA 02539.
