Sissinghurst: The U.S. Premiere of the Four Part BBC Documentary Presentation

This four part series is the United States premiere presentation of the BBC production chronicling restoration of the working farm and gardens at famous castle Sissinghurst.The program segments will be held on September 28th, October 5th, October 12th and October 19th at the Chilmark Public Library.

One of the most celebrated gardens in English history, Sissinghurst was created in the shadow of the ruins of a feudal castle by Nicolson's grandparents, the poet Vita Sackville-West and Sir Harold Nicolson. Today, the 260-acre estate draws visitors from around the world.

(A lecture with Adam Nicholson will be held at the West Tisbury Agricultural Hall on, October 27th at 7:00pm. The quest to restore the legendary gardens at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent, England, is documented in his book "Sissinghurst - An Unfinished History").
