Is the time right to start a new business or grow an existing one?

 

Joan Chaput, with an MBA from Simmons College, has worked as the CFO of several fast growing businesses over the past 30 years and has first–hand experience of the rewards and the perils of growing a business. Joan will explore the differences between the roles of an entrepreneur and a business manager; discussing the often overlooked concepts of cash flow and working capital in the framework of a growing business.  This workshop will combine strategic tools for forecasting growth, understanding cash, funding, and will incorporate a little soul searching to discover your
own personal connection to your business. 

Most recently, Joan  assumed the task of financial accounting
officer for the YMCA helping to steer it from a mere concept several years ago, to the dynamic organization it is today.
