On October 5, 2015 the Falmouth Select Board listened to the explanation and presentation by the author of Petition Article 2 for Special Town Meeting November 10.

The presenter describes the option of taking the homes of wind turbine victims by eminent domain. The presentation describes several other methods and options on how to take the homes around the wind turbines away from the residential home owners.

Eminent Domain The Solution - Letter :

“I suggest that the selectmen retain a real estate expert, if they haven’t already done so, to determine the value of all abutting properties based on comparable properties that do not abut wind turbines, and then make an offer to each owner for a voluntary buy-out. If there are any holdouts, then the town should simply take the properties upon payment of the assessed value on which the owners have based their current tax payments.”
