Island Educator Named West Tisbury Principal

Donna Lowell-Bettencourt will take the reins at West Tisbury School, according to a report in the Martha's Vineyard Times.

The next principal at West Tisbury School is no newcomer, according to a report in the Martha's Vineyard Times.

Donna Lowell-Bettencourt, 43, was named the school's interim assistant principal in 2010, the Times reports.

Lowell-Bettencourt has also worked as librarian and media specialist at Edgartown School and is currently interim director of student support services for the Island's public schools, according to the Times.
