A man with Martha’s Vineyard ties was shot in the chest in the Paris terror attacks Friday.
Arnaud Meersseman, 34, a former Lexington resident whose fathers lives on the Vineyard, was in a coma but expected to survive, FOX 25 reported.
The bullet punctured his lung, his father said.

“He’s still heavily sedated but they are slowly reducing the sedatives so that he’s expected to come back in the next few days,” Yann Meersseman told FOX 25.

Arnaud Meersseman is a Paris resident and a music producer who was inside the Bataclan concert hall when a gunman stormed the hall and opened fire. The Eagles of Death Metal, a California band, was onstage at the time. One of the band’s crew members was killed.
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks. French warplanes on Sunday bombed the terrorist’s groups compounds in response.
As of Sunday, the death toll stood at 129, with hundreds more injured.
