Scott picked "Gangnam Style" for her competition video after hearing it at the music space at the Martha's Vineyard YMCA, "Alex’s Place at the Y," where she often plays, she said.
Her father, Nik, helped her set up her drums in the snow and her mother, Pauline, videorecorded Scott's performance.
Kyle Kotarski of Island Music edited the video with sound from Scott's previously recorded studio performance, the MVRHS junior said.
The contest is open to voting through the end of March. Winners receive drum equipment and accessories, according to the contest website.
