The Tuesday Open Poetry and Writing Series continues with an introductory evening to the annual focus on OCEANS Wilderness : Off Usual Routes … water, sky, wind, earth, clouds, flight, bluffs …
All poets, writers, and community are invited to share new work, and to continue the conversation to imagine together an Oceans Sanctuary for our island, as a space of tremendous beauty and regeneration that will survive and thrive, to inspire us for many generations..
Also encouraged … Your Ideas … for Offsite Arts Events … Poetry, Digital Projections, Music and Performance Art that can be shared with the community and enliven the landscape …

Many communities in beautiful locations have successfully established ocean sanctuaries that protect and enliven their coastal areas. Here on island multiple initiatives honor treasured land areas, commissions secure roadway vistas and towns provide guidelines for historical buildings, while local organizations shelter pivotal water resources ~ yet Oceans on Martha’s Vineyard do not yet enjoy a similar protection.
