• Maynard food pantry gets solar power grant (wickedlocal.com) — Open Table’s Annex Building on Main Street in Maynard is getting a rooftop solar system that should cover all of its electricity needs and cut annual power costs by up to $10,000. Funded through a state low-income solar program, the project will let the Maynard-based food pantry redirect savings into fighting food insecurity across MetroWest.

Maynard firefighters were among several neighboring departments providing mutual aid at the scene, underscoring how closely local fire services cooperate to protect area neighborhoods.
