American Legion Awards Scholarships to Graduating Local High School Seniors

At this year’s Senior Recognition Night, the American Legion Post 110 awarded $1,000 Scholarships to Julianne Bennotti and Seth Wilson and $500 scholarships to John Williams and William Bento.

The Sons of the Legion awarded $1,000 Scholarships to Kathleen Armstrong and William Bento and a $500 Scholarship to Josie Rowean. The Legion Auxiliary presented the Stephen Hinkley Award to Drew Hagan.

The American Legion believes that the more knowledge our young people gain, the better citizens they will become. That is why the organization is so committed to education. Investing in the education of our young people is investing in the future of our country. The American Legion supports a number of scholarship programs that benefit veterans, the children of our veterans, the members of the organizations within The American Legion Family and graduating High School students.
