MEDFIELD, MA — In less than 10 days, the town of Medfield will celebrate a special anniversary as it turns 375 years old on Oct. 17. While several celebrations are planned, the town will kick off its birthday bash with a fire truck parade.
Although the fire truck parade won't begin until late in the morning, trucks will start lining up at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 17, and all fire departments are welcome to participate. Once the festivities get underway, the trucks will travel through downtown.
Afterward, the town's celebration will continue with Party in the Park at Meeting House Pond, where all residents will be welcome.
The parade is not just a way to bring the community together but also an opportunity to honor the firefighters who have served the town since it was founded.
After the parade, residents can enjoy food trucks, live music and other family-friendly activities while celebrating the town's history and reflecting on its future.
